Some of the website I have worked on are listed below; just shown in alphabetical order. I was responsible for the technical aspects of these sites such as database design and management, programming and hosting. The visual appearance was either created by different graphic designers I have worked with or was based on WordPresss templates.
In addition I have also created several private ‘back office’ systems to allow companies to manage their business procedures.
Provides support to a consortium of First Aid trainers allowing them and their students to manage their courses and qualifications. Built using ASP.Net.
Archive of the Now
An electronic and print collection of poetry. Based at Queen Mary, University of London, it hosts recordings of over 100 poets based in the UK. Built using WordPress.
A small press publishing nonconformist poetry. A bespoke MySQL/PHP website.
‘Cultural Exchange in a Time of Global Conflict’ was a project by Kings College in London to examine the cultural contacts between the participants (European, African, Asian) in the First World War. A WordPress website built with an ‘off the peg’ theme.
CumbriaPhoto is the official photography library of Cumbria Tourism – the regional tourist board for Cumbria and the Lake District. This website is bespoke and was created using ASP.Net and SQL Server.
Fashioning the Early Modern
Funded by the Humanities in the European Research Area (HERA), this project takes fashion seriously, asking the simple question: how and why did certain goods such as wigs, new textiles, ribbons, ruffs and lace become successful in early modern Europe while others failed? A WordPress website.

Rethinking the Senses
‘Rethinking the Senses: Uniting the Philosophy and Neuroscience of Perception’ was a three-year project by the Institute of Philosophy examining themes in Modern Cognitive Neuroscience. A WordPress website built using a custom theme based on one of the standard WordPress themes.

Swinton Park is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and is set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens.The castle is surrounded by the family estate in which guests have access to rivers, reservoirs, moorland, dales and the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
