Freelance Sites

Below are a few of the many sites I have produced on a freelance basis. In many cases this includes the graphic design, programming and hosting. Graphic design is not my primary skill so I tend to keep things simple and my clients were satisfied with the results. If you want something more graphically challenging then please ask because I have a network of professional graphic designers I can call upon.

Adventure Learning

The client is a first aid and outdoor adventure trainer. Visitors can browse available courses and make bookings online. The site is written in PHP with a MySQL database.

Bladebox

An online shop for a national manufacturer and distributor of knives and accessories. The site was originally designed and created by another company but I have now taken over responsibility for it. This site is written in ColdFusion and uses a SQL Server database.

Crookabeck Farm

Crookabeck Farm is at Patterdale in the Lake District. The site contains details of their angora goat wool and herdwick sheep products and sells these products online. This site has recently been amended to combine together 3 separate sites. A new design is planned for 2007.

Cumbria Photo

This is an photographic library featuring images of the Lake District. Visitors to the site can purchase and then download images. The site was originally designed and created by another company but I have now taken over responsibility for it. This site is written in ColdFusion and uses a SQL Server database.

Dowthwaite Head Farm

Dowthwaite Head Farm is tucked away in the hills to the west of Ullswater. The owner of the farm wanted to make his stock levels available online and let potential buyers make online queries based on the currently available stock.

Mummy & Me

This is an online shop selling Maternity and Baby products. The site was originally designed and created by another company but I have now taken over responsibility for it. This site is written in ASP and uses a SQL Server database.

Tarnside Consulting

This is a site for a charity fundraising consultancy near to Kendal. The content is based on a series of templated pages built using PHP.

Windermere Steamboats and Museum

The museum wanted a site where they could change any of the content. They were mainly interested in updating their list of events, the latest news and items in their shop. I did everything on this site including graphic design.
