I finally switched off my old CrystalTech dedicated server today. It’s now around 5 years old so it had to go.
Everything is now on my new server at Dedipower in the UK. It took around 3 months (as predicted) to gradually transfer everything over.
Next time I think I’ll try to find some faster means of upgrading the server. Maybe just see if it’s possible to clone the whole disk and move it into newer hardware.
The new Cumbria Photo website – www.cumbriaphoto.co.uk – went live today. The site has been rewritten in ASP.Net and moved to a server in the UK which should hopefully speed things up a bit.
It now features a pop-up preview image when you hover your mouse over a thumbnail image and a bit more information about each image such as dimensions and file size. Also, you can now save images in a ‘lightbox’ for later downloading.
Finally, it also features a great new design from DesignWorks in Staveley – www.thedesignworks.co.uk.
